Default photo size for Word

    I frequently send letters into which I have inserted one or more photos.

    I was wondering if anyone knew of a way to set up a default size so that the photo is automatically sized by default when inserted into the Word document.

    It would be a great help to not have to resize every photo after inserting it.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Not found an option in Word to do what you need, but I have another suggestion in the mean time, it does depend on wether you have windows XP tho?


    Get ahold of the Powertoys for XP http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=710 and install the Image Resizer powertoy.... once installed all you now need to do is to highlight all the pictures you wish to be small enough to incert into a Word doc > right click them and choose resize pictures.. you can choose Small which is ok for fitting into a Word doc or choose Advanced > Custom and choose your own size.

    Albiet this is not a perfect route but it will resize your pics in a bulk manor so all will be the same size.

    Hi Halo!
    I definitely want the Image Resizer, however, when I download the Power Toys for XP (from the link in your post) it only installs Tweak UI. I can't figure out how to get Image Resizer. Let me know if I'm missing something. Thanks :)

    Well So it does! ..... I had already downloaded all the Powertoys from MS a while back but I do like to link to MGs wherever possible, glad you found it from the Home MS Site ;)
