Default printers in 2000/XP

I need help. I work in a school and the students have their own logins. We are using 2000 and XP in the labs, with Novell 6 to manage the printers. I installed two networked HP printers, and when someone other than me logs in, the default printer goes to the color ink jet and I want it to be the laser. No matter what I do, it always goes back to the other one. I have administrator priviledges.

Also, we're using a print server. The color printer is listed above the other printer in the print server queue properties, probably because it's alphabetical. There's no way in the properties to change this either. Does anyone have ANY ideas how I get force the default printer to be the laser? Is this a policies issue?

    Thanks bunches,
    Tracy

Does anyone have any idea if this can be done in gpedit?

Rename the printer you want at the top with an underscore.

That's a great idea, but it's not letting me rename it. :(
