Defender Or Comcast's Free Norton 360

I used to run when I heard the word Norton as it was a resource hog and not a good product. I have been reading and for free, Comcast's Norton Total seems to be better than Defender and only edged out by Bitdefender in a category. I know the choice is subjective but Since Sept. 2019 when the Norton security suite by Comcast became Norton's Total the scores are impressive. This in general surfing and I have no sites to cite.
Because it has an uninstaller and now reads as an impressive product, would you use Comcast's free Norton Total or Defender along with MBAM free? Also if Total could one need MBAM?

 

I would use Windows Defender along with Malwarebytes free. Windows Defender has dramatically improved.

 

I tend to agree as I have had no issues with either. They are compatible with Windows, have improved yet new products are always being developed, so I asked.
I will stick with Defender and MBAM. Thank you

I would just use are Guide on removing malware or virus.People put too much trust in these Virus scanners that end up being nothing more then bloat-wear them self's.

 

I was concerned about over doing it to the point where too many false positive would present themselves.
Actually this improved Defender with MBAM has not failed yet.
It was just that in reading about this much trimmed down 360 by Norton for free I was impressed. It has a firewall and supports virus and malware protection without draining system sources etc. I have no proof of this as I do not have a VM other than MS's sandbox, which I am not sure of.
Even if you continue to use Defender, do you have an opinion about 360 being what they claim? I guess I am tainted due to the resource hog it was years ago.
