finally fixing the VCR when the T.V. takes a crap. . . .

I have one vcr that can record
    and two that can play
problem being that you cant record from the other vcr's

If I wanted to record something on tv
I have to pipe it through vcr 1(via coa)
then to vcr 2 via rca

then i coud see it if the tv had rca jacks
and the cable tit poped off

    It's only just begun

the whole chicken and the egg thing. . . .

    the rooster

    Very cumbersome recorder. :D

At least when compared to the new DVD recorders.

Every so often I look over at my old VHS collection & think that I need to transfer them to disk before the player dies and new ones become unobtainable.

Me too. I just upgraded puter to a DVD burner, but don't have video capture. Over 200 movies on VHS, would take a hellacious long time to transfer.

I here ya all on this on

I was so proud of myself when I had 2 VCR's, I could watch a tape while recording some thing

then I got a DVD, then I could record two TV shows while watching a movie

then I got a PC with a DVD-rom, so at that time I could record 2 tv shows while watching 2 DVD's

then my best VCR died, I started to fix it, but it was going to have none of that and ran and jumped in a dumpster

Now the AV input/outputs have died on the other VCR, I think its feeling seperation anxiety from it's soul mate commiting "dumpsterside"

But, a buddy gave me a MAC with a DVD-rom, so now I'm back to where i can play more shows than I can watch :)

P.S.- the old VCR still records, I think thats cuz the wife records "american idol", I think the VCR just wants to punish me ;)
