I am waxing my car--at 9:30 at night under my porch light.
Waxing your car at 9:30 at night is dedication.
Waxing your car every night at 9:30 would be obsession.
You haven't gone over the line yet.
Of course, posting to an internet forum while waxing your car might qualify as an obsession of another kind.
"Do not apply in direct sun light"
"Do not allow to dry completely"
"Daniel-san, Wax on!, Wax off!"
Better than waxing by flashlight.
The bright side of this is dont have too worry about the sun baking the wax on!
Hey ya got a PC out there too?
LOL, I was posting between coats.
scorcer, my wax says let it dry
Gold Class Clear Coat Car Wax
Horribly sticky stuff.
I just finished. Wiping on and off wax with a porch light and a little flashlight takes skill.
We'll find out in the morning
LOL, I was using both.
When you get up and your car has splotchy wax marks all over it, you will know not to do it again, haha.
That one looks in damm fine condition, dont see many in as good as that around these days, BTW would it be the 1.9l you'd go for as its a classic
So wheres the pic of this newly waxed car Adryn?
"Now, Daniel-san, show me, Paint the Fence!"
yeah, 1.9GTI 134bhp.
only problem is the money
the 1.9 is 10 kg's too heavy for my budget... but I nééd to have that car
getting it approved: 25
taxes: 224 (per year)
insurance: 608 (per year) (cheapest, no insurance for people driving along with me, no insurance in case I need a lawyer etc...)
total: € 1707,-
or: us $ 2,235.14
geezuz the insurance is heafty... but its classed a hot hatch still and is subjected to increased premiums + your age doesnt help either, I only saw a decrease in my premiums on the likes of 1.4/1.6ltr cars when I reached 25
but you must get that car as they are a hoot to drive.
Ah, yes... Cars are definetly a labor of love, and an obsession for some.
I've been there...
Changing brakes at 11:00 p.m.
Changing U-Joints at 4:30 a.m. to make it to a car show in time thats 3 hours away.
Replacing a starter in a Burger King parking lot.
Changing oil in the pouring rain...when it's 12 degrees outside.
It's a guy thing. My wife will never understand
hehe it is indeed a guy thing
which is why i'm going to ask my dad to loan me the money for that car and not my mom
hahahaha you have class Flepp
I need a couple of excuses why I need that car...
here's my current list:
*gf lives one hour with train away, train == annoying + expensive
* it's cool
* it's cool
* i want it
* i'll quit smoking for it
+ I'll let you test drive it... you know you want too
bwahaha that's a friggin' good one
oh another one:
+ less chance of me wrecking your laguna
I'll let him see this picture and whisper that it's got 134bhp
Er, let me see if I am awake enough tio take pics
hehe no escapes Adryn, we want pics
I have actually done that
I need to find something to clean between the lower side panel and the door. Suggestions?
the fact that you can wax your car at 9:30pm makes me sick.. it's like 5*F today.. lol.
scrubs up damm nice Adryn
puts my dirty one to shame!
ROFL, it didn't start getting too cold for the wax until about 10:30pm
Who here thinks Adryn should be exposed to our temps for 30 days and forced to drive in the blizzards with his Accord..
ME ME ME ME ME!!!
I've heard stories of what snow and salt on the road does to cars
why not experience it for real!!! MUAHHAAHAH!!!!
Can I borrow your car?
I second that, where's the snow in those pics? to much sun
open the door and use a cloth?
Thats not on the inside of the car.
At least the big parts.
In front of the door and behind it.
Told ya I wasn't totally awake.
Nice. I'm not much for imports, but looks sharp!
Yeah, it's sad. I'm into Classics and am always on the lookout for 50's - 60's project cars. It's almost impossible to find anything that isn't a complete rust-bucket up here in the Northeast. Floorpans, trunks, battery tray...forget it. All rusted out with giant holes.
They dump so much salt on my street at even the slightest dusting of snow, that our freshly paved street two years ago is now full of potholes!
It's supposed to snow here for two days straight starting Saturday eve
I keep hearing that
In regards to imports, its an NA only car
Still classify as an import?
no, but I can tow yours if you want.. BWAHAHAH!!!
I had to actually do the #1 on my Ford Mustang's alternator because the damn thing caught on fire in the middle of nowhere!
71 Merc. Couger, replaced starter in a Salvation Army parking lot, they said move or we will tow it (nice guys), so I walked 3 miles to get a new starter, 2 weeks later, charging system fried, battery blew up in front of a tow yard!
God, I LOVED that car, 351 Cleaveland,, YEOW!!
Murphys Law strikes again.
I pulled my car out for the pics and my pine trees are currently shedding pollen--and sap.
Which is now speckled all over my car.
I second that idea, its crazy up here. Driving is horrendous right now. And the salt makes things look like crap.
serves ya right. . . .
having a garage and no snow. . .pft. . . .
Oh, wait, this isn't the word game thread, my bad
see. . you don't even need walls
