Defrag report shows incomplete defrag as follows:
    C:\Program Files\Sierra\FEAR\FEAR.Arch00 1213 6181888 / 7121088 3.58 GB free space not found

    O/S: Win XP- SP2
    180 Gig HD
    34 Gig free space

How do I interpret the data when there is plenty HD space free?

    Auslogic Defrag.
    It's the game F.E.A.R. program.

Sierra is publisher of the game F.E.A.R. When you install a game its default action is to install the game in a directory(folder) that it creates and then names after the publisher of the game.

Yes, I play the game, but I'm inclined to delete it if no solution is found.
I've run the IObit defrag as well, and each time I run the process atleast twice with the same results.

Just tryin to clear it up for ya since he did tell you he recognized/used the game FEAR (Sierra isnt a program its just the directory the game is in)

My mistake then, Ive never seen a message board other than this one that didnt include a date and time at the bottom of the post that indicated when a post was last edited.

As for the defrag problem try it again as there might not have been enough contiguous space on your HD to fit the 3.58 gigs. Thats at least what Ive read.

Please clarify the difference between free space and contiguous space.

To add to the previous post your HD may still be fragmented enough that even though in total you have enough free space, that free space is physically scattered around the disk in pockets smaller than 3.5 gigs so the file could not moved from where it already was. Running another defrag (or getting rid of unused files/games) might sufficiently increase the amount of contiguous on your HD . But even if it doesnt thats no reason to get rid of the game if you still enojy playing it IMO.

Thanks. I did the powerdefrag, but I'm wondering, does this program generate a report? I saw that some files/clusters(?) had two fragments and only one was defragged.

By the way, I appreciate how much everyone has been willing to help.
