I am using Diskeeper and everytime i start up my comp, or run a big program, or play a game, or whatever else, i come back to diskeeper and it shows my c drive is already very defragged. Is this normal?

    Someone suggested this:
set up change your settings> and click/tick "set performance data options", that should reduce the amount..

I may not have understood your question correctly, but if you are using the NTFS file system, and if you don't install and uninstall a lot of programs or burn a lot of DVD movies, then yes, this is normal. I use Diskeeper, run it at least once a day, and my drive is very unfragmented. :)

I took the opposite spin and thought he meant fragged instead of defragged, hope I'm wrong...

Just in case here's what I wrote,

What version of Diskeeper do you use and what OS(es) run on the computer?

It sounds like you check Diskeeper often, and run it often, only to see files that say they are defragged become fragged again and again. Assuming this is the deal, and that your hard drive has adequate free space, one idea is to analyze if only the same individual files on the hard drive become fragmented, or possibly the fragmentation seems to apply universally to all the files on the hard drive. Just one cause (of many) is the same file(s) are getting fragmented (like big files say 500MB) over and over.
