Is it useful to defrag your D Drive to improve computer speed?:confused

If your ''D'' drive is for storage then it should not really be in need of it. Your ''C'' drive is the one with the OS and Programmes and this will require defragging occasionaly, so the answer is keep the ''C'' clean ridding cookies/history etc. and your speed should be pretty constant. Try this wee prog to keep ''C'' drive clean and running at full speed.

    Hi,

But if his d drive is only used for storage, defragging it will make no difference to his system speed.

if I go into my D drive, theres a folder Documents and Settings. In that folder theres a Start Menu folder and in that theres a lot of program folders. Should these be in the D drive?? Im worried that programs are being saved in the wrong drive. Or is this normal? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

If they start and run when you want them to, there is no problem.
