when I delete a file on my xp pro OS, the file deleting dialog just sits there.
Even after the file is deleted. then about 2 minutes later the dialog goes away. Im on a company network so naturally I suspect them. but... any idea what is going on here?

Try deleting the file from [Safe] mode, and see if it still hangs the system processes.

get IEprivacykeeper and u don't need to use the thing at all except for secure deletion. Go through the options and check on the secure delete and select how many times you want to go over it, once is okay to delete normal stuff, more than once for more private info files. Just right click and click on secure delete and it will seem like the folder has gone on a crash but it's just deleting. Depending on what kind of a file and the size it could take a few seconds or a few minutes. I use this program for this fuction most of all but it's also good for stuff that ccleaner does. In truth I think it's a bit better but ccleaner is more well known and ieprivacykeeper only recently started to work on apps like mozilla, etc.

Sorry for the long ass reply. Hope it helps.

That's assuming he has Admin privileges on a company network and can install programs?
