I just got a new computer. I am trying to figure out how to delete all instances of a program.
In XP, I could search all files (regular and hidden) and remove all traces of a program - assuming all traces contained the name I typed in.
In Windows 7, I'm not getting all instances even though I accessed the hidden folders.
I like to try out new games and when I'm done with them I like to delete them completely. The Add/Remove feature does not do this. It always leaves stuff behind which is why I like to remove them myself.
How do I find all items connected with the name of the program I am trying to delete?

Revo Uninstaller is probably the best program if you have not already uninstalled the program you wish to uninstall. What Revo does is use the program's built in uninstaller to uninstall that program and after that, intensively checks your registries to erase any traces that are left of the program. If the program has already been uninstalled, I do not believe it would be of great help.
