Somehow or another, I've accumulated 195 files when I do a SEARCH for Codecs!!

My video & audio playbacks are yuck so I want to start afresh but when I click on EDIT/SELECT ALL then delete IT DOESN'T WORK!!!:cry N.B: can't even do it
manually - get either a message COPY or EXTRACT!

    May I make a suggestion?

If you want to use the Microsoft Media Player as your default player, then you need Codecs. Having a half dozen players and viewers on your PC is absolute idiocy.

What I do monthly is download the latest Codecs from "KLite Codecs" for the version of windows I'm using. There's one set for XP and one for Vista and another one for win-7. Since I work on many computers for other people, I download all three versions.

Here's a good place to start:
    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/k_lite_codec_pack.htm

As you install the new KLite Codecs Pack, it will ask you if you want it to remove old, out of date codecs. Just answer YES and you're on your way.

It don't get much simpler than that.;)

    Good Luck,
