hello there thanks for taking the time to read me.

OK here is my problem. I recently formatted my computer, it partitioned, the old files, the file is called (windows old) ive tried to delete them, but it will not let me delete all of them,it says I need permission, or try again.when i hit try again it just keeps saying it. a lot of them have gone and have got rid of them,
there are a quite a few files left about 20gig in the file whichsays(windows old)

I try to delete them , but it just says they try again every time I click delete, or says you need permission, I am the administrator on the computer, so why can't I delete the few that are left, as I said its about 20 gig left in the old file partition I don't need them, I just want to get rid of them as its old stuff, any help would be great thank you arnie :):):)

    Hello There,

You might have to reformat your hard drive again and load up new windows if that hasn't worked then you need to reload windows and delete the old files through windows and see if that works.

Let me know how you get on.

    Greetings, arnie4...

You might try a couple of things first: run a command prompt as administrator and delete from the prompt...you might also want to check the files in the .old folder and make sure they're not 'read-only'...
