deleting files

    I'm trying to delete (Avast Inernet Security, licience expired) I unistalled the program but,
    the file is still on the C drive. I tried to delete it but, I need permission from admin...
    I know about rightclick/properties/security/advanced/ to change ownership over but, the last time I did this was when my OS was Vista. Which is totaly different Win 8.1 Pro.

    Win. 8.1 Pro (x64)
    Cpu AMD A8-5500 with Radeon HD Graphics 3.20 GHz
    Ram 6 GB
