Hi! Is there a way to delete all bookmarks in IE8 without going through them individually?
    Thanks

Well, yes but there's a problem - I can't find the folder here.

Locate the folder, open it and select all. Delete. I did it in IE6 and IE7 a few times. A couple of times they came back after reboot. :-D

They are called Favourites now - and I can't find the folder so I'm stuck. The folder I did find is empty. This is as far as I can help.

Oh! Found them. The folder has not gotten a new name. It's not the Favourites Panel it's still the old one. Very, very Microsoft. So organized. A computer is an index. Right? Not! :-D

The folder does not have a folder icon. It's a star. Makes it easier to recognize it in Explorer. It behaves just like a folder so just open it.

    What's the name?
    :confused

What exactly is it that I'm looking for and where is it supposed to be?
    :-o

Oh gawd I'm such a computer dummy!

Go to Documents and settings and click the star icon in Explorer.

My Computer -> Local Disk -> Documents and Settings -> you user name -> click the star icon. It's the only one that's not a folder icon.

Well, isn't that odd, mine doesn't have it.

I also see stuff in there that I have no clue as to what they are! This computer is a few years old and has had others use it.

Yes, it is. But it seems you're not using the XP Home theme (skin). Perhaps that's why?

You can right click on the desktop and have properties displayed. And then check it on the tabs here.

Strange. Can't explain that. :p EDIT: or perhaps I can. You can choose folder display in Tools -> Folder Option. You must have changes the default settings somehow?
