Deleting Old Screen Savers??

How do I delete old screen savers names from the drop down list on XP? Even after I've deleted them from my computer, their still on the drop down list. Or maybe there's a utility I can install to delete them?

Hope someone can help.

Did you just deleted the ???.scr or did you uses the Add\Remove options.
I am using Win98SE mine are in windows/system.

if you didn't use the add\remove you will have to uses a regcleaner.
i uses regsupreme 1.1 one off the best you can download in here.

No Clark, not the one's that come with the operating system but the one's I download. The names are still listed even after I've deleted them by both ways, through add/remove programs and their own built in uninstall.

not 100% positive, but you could probably search for the scr names in your registry and delete them that way

Regcleaner !!!

Did you try with a regcleaner ???

Let say your screensaver it call FISH.SCR delete all entry with the regcleaner
with the word fish.scr anyway if you uses regsupreme it will tell that's
it not there anymore.....

it's that not working tell me... i have a few others idea!!!

 

Well, I FINALLY found where all those screen savers were. In the Windows file then within that file is a file called system 32. So I deleted all the ones I downloaded that I had all ready deleted but were still listed in that file for some strange reason. Now they no longer are listed in the drop down list for my screen savers, GONE GONE GONE!! So, just for fun, I tried to delete some of the system SS I don't like but they would dissapear after I deleted them but them pop right back. I guess those are built in without delete capability. Too bad because about half of the system SS I don't like.
