    I have two part question.

Firstly If I create three partitions on my hard drive, for separatethings, then will I be able to install all of software except my OS onto one of the partitions and the OS onto another partition.??????? If yes how do I do so?????

Secondly I have three versions of XP running on my computer. How would I go about deleting one of the versions, as it does not load up correctly, it says that a system 32 file is missing????????

    Thanks in advance.

If the partitions are already created, when you install xp it will ask to which partition....the default will be C:/
To find the bad install ...start / run / type "msconfig" without qoutes and go to boot.ini ....click check all boot paths ...will tell you which is bad and allow for uninstall.

When installing the applications, just choose the other partitions as the target

    As for your first question:
yes, although a lot of programs install some files in the system folders. Drivers, codecs, etc need to be on your system drive. Everything else can be installed anywhere. But it's a bad idea to size your windows partition in a way that windows will precisely fit on it, with no spare room.

    Second:
Should be no problem if you kept all windows installations completely separated.

To do so would I simply create a new folder in the other partition and install the software in that folder???????

Do you mean you want to Move the programs to a diferent partition or you just want to install to a different partition ...if the later, then when it is installing it will ask where to install and just change the drive letter from C to D or F or what ever the partition letter is.

Are you talking about primary or secondary partitions?

Here are two threads that are about getting rid of extra versions of XP. It wasn't hard.
