Dell 620 LCD problem.

    I have DELL 620 Latitude core 2 due. I am facing a problem that when ever i start my laptop the LCD doesn't show any display although the loading works perfectly so i have to shut it down by pressing the power button and then power it up again after 3 to 4 min then it works ok. can any one help me to solve this problem.:(

    Hi,
    I would check the cables to your screen, and make sure that they are secure. I had a very similar issue 2yrs ago with this laptop, and it was the power cable that goes to the inverter board, it was being trapped in the hinge every time I opened and closed the lid eventually breaking the cable and ending up with no image unless I wiggled the lid back and forth, very simple to fix once I knew the cause ;).
    Here is a link to your machines service manual as you will be needing it when you strip it down to get to the cables......
