    Dell 9100 will not start.
No lights except flea on MB.

Jumped green pin on ATX connector and fans and drives spin
Checked some voltages and got 3V and 5V
Trying to find a way to bypass dell front switch board and boot.
Suggestions on how to determine if front switch board, PSU or MB are bad.

That should show you how to , and where parts are.It has happened to me, that a button switch needed replacing on a few laptops, and often they have a short lead from the button to the board, and this connection can become faulty. If you enlarge the pictures from Dell, you might be able to see parts better.
More often than not, I have found the cmos battery to cause non starts, on laptops, and if its a plugin one, that's easy enough to replace- if its soldered, you need to be pretty good at removing, and replacing.
If you had another battery, you could check if it is the chrge pin thats not charging battery enough. If it is the charge pin that is not working, they can be changed , if its a plug in type, but, again, if its soldered to the board-....I will see if I can check those parts out.
    Good luck

If those links fail- go to dell support, driver and downloads, and input your model, and look for manual.
