Dell audio drivers help

    i have a dell desktop. i rebotted it for the second time and the first time i rebotted it i installed the audio drivers provided by the dell website and the audio worked then after i did it again after the second reboot, when i go to install the drivers the installation fails because it says the audio driver files don't support the computers hardware.

    Possibly you got the wrong drivers. Question though, did you need to download the newest drivers, or where you having problems with the current drivers on your machine?

    What is the Model name or version of your Dell + Windows version used?

    Like brownizs I think you may have just picked the wrong ones as Dell like other manufacturers use a few different types of sound hardware, even in the same PC model version.
