Dell D600 latitude

    Hi

    I have just replaced a hardrive in a dell latitude D600 and after an install of XP I can’t find the required drivers for the internal wifi card or the network card. I have looked at the device manager and under “other device” Ethernet controller and network controller have the yellow question mark. I have tried all of the recommended drivers from the dell support site but the problem persists. As a work around I am currently connected via wifi using an external usb stick but I need to use this laptop in a wifi free zone but it does have Ethernet.

    Any ideas gratefully received.

    Hi

    Did you install the Intel chipset driver first, then reboot and then install the WiFi and LAN network drivers? give that a go and see if it works.

    Plus follow the below to give us a hardware log so we can see what network cards they have installed as their are a few,


    Should also be able to get the exact drivers for your Dell if you enter the asset tag code that should have come with the PC, could be on the bottom on a sticky label as that narrows the exact build of your pc down.
