dell data safe local backup

hi all I just purchased a dell n5110 computer

I have a question regarding the dell data safe local backup.. in its free version it only allows the creation of a recovery disc.. File and folder as well as comprehensive local backup is not supported.

My question is:
I am trying to remove unecessary features in my com to reduce the long startup time and was wondering if i could remove the dell datasafe from startup after i create a recovery disc without worrying about problems..

also, can someone else confirm that the free version of data safe local only does recovery disc and nothing else? thanks in advance
