Dell Inspiron 6000 Will Not Start Bootup

    Hi to All,
    Iam truly honored to be admitted to such an outstanding site as this. I reciently purchased a Dell Inspiron 6000 for parts and it will not bootup. When the power button is depressed, the indicator lights flash and then shutdown. I was hopping to access the CD, but the system never goes that far. Before I start taking it appart, does anyone have any idea of what fix the problem?

    Welcome to MG's!! I suggest you post this in the software forum. Although it might better be addressed in the hardware forum as it is possible that the motherboard is shot.
