Well, it is time. I have finally got a good deal on a Dell, and I need yall's help bad!!

1. Is Dual Channel Memory faster than regular or what?

2. Is Dual Channel like 2 of the samething?? (Like if I got 1GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHz 2 Dimm, is that like 2 GB or what??)

3. Does hard drive size make your PC run faster or slower? (Like if I got 40 GB, or 80 GB. Would the 80 GB make my PC run faster)???

you would get 2 512 sticks of ram and dual channel is better, faster, and as far as harddrive goes, it wont make it any faster, the bigger the number, the more space you will have to save stuff

 

Is 1 GB Dual Channel pretty fast?

 

todays standards is 512mb, so you doubled that, to anwser your question, yes its good

I am getting the 256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800 Graphics Card. Does it have Pixel Shaders? Is it good and fast?

 

A Geforce 6800 is plenty fast to run today's games and it will keep up very well with games in the next year or 2.

 

HDD size will affect your pc when its nearing full capacity, you might hear some grinding and feel some studder if you over-pack it.

Single channel and Dual channel difference is 1-3% real-world application.

Having 1gb dual channel means 512mb x 2.

6800Go is the fastest laptop video card you can buy.

Beaware that having such high end system means your making it into a permanent desktop replacement, because your battery life will be about 20minutes!

 

Even with a 6-cell LION battery???
