Dell laptop fans

I have had my Dell 1705 laptop for almost three years now. and just recently I have noticed the performance on it is just awful. If I am doing ANYTHING the CPU usages shoots up to 100% and the fan(s) kick in full swing. I recently noticed that my right back fan is completely out, so I guess the left one is being sped up cause the PC is still reading hot. Is there any chance that this could be why my PC performance is so poor? And does anyone have a good idea as to how I might fix the fan or where I could et a new one? Thanks.

Hi

Its very possible that heat issues are causing slowness in your PC, also could be malware so have you scanned for that?

If you hit CTRL-ALT-DEL at the time the CPU goes to 100% what is the process taking up all the CPU?

Thanks for your help. Just to update I got called up Dell and got the fan replace under warranty in a day. Which is really impressive for Dell. My CPU is running at 1% now and very nicely. The fans seldom come on and everything is working awesome.
