does your hard drive have a bunch of little pins for a connector or a "L" shaped connector?

  4. This will do very nicely!! http://cgi.ebay.com/80gb-Hitachi-7200rpm-IDE-PATA-HTS721080G9AT00_W0QQitemZ250291256760QQihZ015QQcategoryZ42184QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
As for removing, there should be two screws just under the HD door, take them out and pull on the door, then remove the 4 screws holding the HD and remove it then remove the small DELL HARD DRIVE adaptor-VERY IMPORTANT! then just put the adaptor on the new hard drive and install is just reverse! Wallaa! you done and ready to reformat!
You don't really need a 7200 RPM hard drive but they are nice to have!
