I am working on a D620 for a client and I'am stumped with this problem. I have run the Dell diagnostics CD and have received the following error messages: error code 5800:3022 unable to stop non-boot processors. This same error reoccurs with a different last four digits 0222 and 0422. I have searched Dells forum with no luck. But, have not posted there yet. All 3 error messages occur during L2 cache testing. I have replace the cpu with an equilivant one. Actually faster. I shipped with a T2400 Intel Duo, I put in a T2500. It is extremely slow and stopping as many processes as possible doesn't seem to help at all. Any suggestions besides smash it with a hammer! :-D Thanks for help in advance.

Hi Mustang, did you come right with the above problem? I have had exactly the same problem on my PC recently, and yesterday I ran the diagnostics and got all 3 errors the same. Appreciate your help.

    Michael,
As it turned out. The motherboard was bad. All the errors were generated from that. My client had purchased the extended warranty thru his school. So, it was replaced by a field tech hired by Dell. Check to see if your machine is warrantied first. Go to Dell's technical support page and type in the approperiate information. I hope this helps you. Good Luck.
