Dell Picture Studio/Jasc Image Expert - Error applying transforms.

Start getting an error trying to run Image Expert - Tried to Uninstall and got an error message even when using the original Image Expert CD.

Tried to Re-Install using the original CD and now getting the error message:
"Error applying transforms. Verify that the specified transform paths are valid".

Google had some discussion on uninstalling the JRE but nothing specific to Dell Picture studio.

System:

Dell 4550
Pentium 4 CPU 2.53GHz
1 GB RAM
Win XP - v2002 - SP2

Run chkdsk and scannow. Then you should update your system. Install SP3. Visit Microsoft Update - use the button "Custom". Check that you are running the latest Java 6 update 13 and the latest Flash. Uninstall all old versions of Flash and Java. Run Secunia PSI so that you can update all else. It's impossible to say what ecxactly is malfunctioning on an old system that has not been updated for more that a year.

SP3 came out in april 2008.
