Anyone know if you can add a serial port to a Dell Poweredge 600 SC without shutting down the Machine??

Trying to avoid a call to Dell because we all know how much fun calling Tech support can be.

Can't you advance warn all users that the system will be shutdown at 11pm Sunday next, or appropriate day/date, and fit it then. Have the appropriate driver/s available, etc. Shouldn' t take more than a minute or two, depending on how easy it is to get at the insides of the box. Baz
