dell reinstall help

    I have a dell inspiron v130 laptop that im trying to restore but i have no blue dell bar at start up, I have the blue dell logo at post. so now how do I hit ctrl f11 at the blue bar if there is no blue bar.:confused I seen some one whit this before but I can not find that post now.:cry

    thanks for any help.

    not sure why you would want to hit F11, on all the Dells I have seen, F2 is the setup or BIOS, F8 is Advanced Start Menu, F12 is Boot Options

    On almost all dells they have a hidden restore and to run it you have to hit CTRL F11 after the dell logo and before windows loads its a 3-5 sec bar at the top of the screen "[ www dell com ]" or something like that, its part of the dell mbr I think. try it some time ;)

    we have Dell do our own submitted images as we have never used that feature.

    Here would explain why

    ok thank you thats what i was looking for got the mbr back and reinstalling the os now.
