    Hi

Try the Sigmatel for the XPS 410 here but make sure you have installed the Intel Chipset driver first. If not work first time, make sure you have fully uninstalled any previous failed attemps to install Sigmatel driver from the PC and temp folders (ccleaner can clean up temps for you)

Sadly you may end up trying loads of Audio drivers from Sigmatel to get the right one as its a inherent problem when downgrading as at times the OEM as in Dell custom build the audio chip for a specific PC model.

halo, the thing is that i found an apropriate driver, now it installed, but no sound anyway (( there is an yellow sigh on that device (IDT High Def Audio Codec).
Question: could it happen becouse of SP3?
i think "NO" cause i tryed to trick the system into SP2, installed the update for high def audio, still the same - no sound
    Then why, what's the problem?

    Hi

If you have a yellow ! mark and likely code 10 error, then you dont have the right driver for the reasons I mentioned, OEMs do not buy off the shelf hardware at times they custom order it for their spec and OEM specs can be varied.

Bets bet is to uninstall via Device Manager the Audio driver and then click in Device Manager View > Show Hidden Devices and then open the Sound and Video Game Controllers branch and unsinstall any listing that is faded as those are un--used old drivers, reason is one could be preventing new driver from installing correctly. Then reboot and re-install the driver you think is correct.
