Designate file to hold screen shot?

I am having difficulties with an online game.
Game supplier/owner wants a screen shot of what problem looks like.
Is there a way to have the screen shot saved someplace particular or ID where it is? Last time I tried one, it wound up as a screen saver, and I found it only when screen saver was turned on.

I use Lightshot available here on MG's. I save the screenshots as JPEG and they're saved to Users\myname\documents\lightshot.

 

Some games will do there own screen shots, but there is also

Taksi is a utility that allows you to take screenshots and record video clips of your favourite games and other 3D-graphics applications.

 

Win 7 has a built-in screenshot utility. Type snip into Start > Search and Snipping Tool will pop up. Save the snip to Desktop so you can find it again.

 

Have a look at FastStone Capture v5.3.
It's the last freeware version, portable, 2 MB footprint, and with all the features (to many to mention) you need. You can even create your own naming template. It's realy simple to use and much better than Windows' Snipping Tool. I use it in Windows XP & 7, and a friend uses it in Windows 8. I created a folder, Snapshots, in the Pictures folder, and put a shortcut to it on the desktop.
