   I am running windows 98 first edition on an Acer laptop. There is a windows 98 logo on the desktop. New short cuts appear under this logo. If I drag them to a new location, they go back under the logo. Can this logo be moved or removed?

   Try right clicking anywhere on the desk top. Second item down should be arrange icons. Untick arrange automatically.
