Desktop Background Issues

Discussion in 'Software' started by HumbleServant1611, Jun 20, 2008.

  1. I had my computer turned off and this morning I turned it on and it loaded fine but the "Active Desktop Recovery" had come up. I clicked the "active desktop" and it just said "scripted error, Yes or No" I clicked yes didn't do nothing. I went to properties, desktop, customize desktop and checked the box "my current home page" and now it is the MSN.com home page and I can't seem to turn it back to normal can't click on the background because it registers it as right clicking a web page. My OS is Windows XP SP2.

    Thanks for the feedback

Go to your control panel and choose display properties, then under the first tab (desktop) change it to what picture (or no picture) you want

If you're running xp, click "customize desktop" , then a new window pops up, and choose the tab that says web...there you can uncheck the box that says "My Current Home Page"

  3. Thanks it worked

  4. Now that's out of the way, my desktop background image is locked i've tried going to group policy and control panel but still nothing changed, is there any other way to unlock it?

    thank you for the help
