Desktop computer isn't running normal

Good evening,
I have a windows 7 desktop which the last couple of day I cannot use it because it runs so slow. IE doesn't load, no files or programs will run up to speed and then my computer just freezers. It has been continuous for like this for days. I have to use my Iphone to send this as I can't even access IE from my desktop.

Pls help

This is probably hdd failure , you can hook up the hdd to another machine checking if it works or not :wave

 

Thanks for the quick response. I wouldn't even know how to do that. It all started when I downloaded one of those big fish 60 minute free trial games and started playing it. I don't ever usually have a problem with games on my comp.

 

You can go to Start - Run msconfig - ok - go to Startup tab - pushing disable all bottom - Apply - Ok , windows is asking you about restart - do it , you can inform us what happened after restart :wave

 

I don't see this as a hard drive failure - it could be, I suppose but I'm with plodr and would look at malware first. Then look at cleaning the drive of clutter.
