Desktop icons

Im using windows Vista, is there a way that i can make my desktop icons really small w/o changing my resolution to 1600-1200 (for example) if i make my resolution that small then i can barely see some of the open windows that i have when i play online poker and such, the font is to tiny. i tried makin the text size larger in my explorer but that only effects the internet pages that i display, the text on my online games are still tiny. I hate the bulk of my icons on my desktop but i want them there.....so if anyone has any ideas on how to make the icons really small but leave me w/ a descent resolution id really appreciate the guidence

 

Have you tried holding down the Ctrl key on your keyboard and scrolling the size with your mousewheel? Or right-clicked on the desktop>view>classic icons?

 

Holding down the control and scrolling the mouse wheel only worked w/ the page i was displaying, had no effect on the text size of the online games.....but using the classic icons let me go from 1600-1200 down to 1360-1024 which is a big improvement.....thx!!!!
