Have no clue what this means and what consequences if any. It's showing up on Everest as a warning.

It says: Accuracy of DMI data cannot be guaranteed. :confused

Hopefully, someone has the answer and to what it pertains and how to solve it? Thank you.

    Here's the pic.

PS: I clicked on the others below it in the same screen and no warnings or anything wrong shown?

Thing is that I've never seen this warning before in Everest, so must be new.

MA, although you say that it can be ignored, I'll check out Everest a bit more thoroughly and see if I can find anything else. Thank you.

    Edit: Earthling, you too???

Don't blame you, but I am pretty confident :)

Everyone who checks this will have the same warning, the basis of it is that the OEMs do not fill in all the DMI data, they just do a barebones thing so this is the easy option as the info may not be accurate for software apps like this is to pop up a warning to this data not being accurate.

I have a very new mobo and the latest bios from a month or so ago and I get this warning.

Even checking with SiSoft SANDRA brings the same warning.

I agree with MA on this, was something I checked out years ago when I saw the same, as MA says you can ignore this as its not a fault.

Deng, checked out Everest and don't understand one iota about hardware and such. :-o There is some suggestion shown in the BIOS though and don't know whether it is related to the DMI? See pic.

It's not that I doubt you guys ;), it's that my 'puter is about 5 years *young* and can expect anything to happen. Never did anything to it, other than installing additional RAM and had an IT tech install a bigger HD in Feb 2008. No driver updates etc. etc. nothing/nada.

    Thank you!!

Have learned that much in that if it ain't broke, don't fix it. In this case, I don't know whether to go for a bios update or not. :(

Basically, unless you have a problem, forget the BIOS, even then its usually a fairly rare, specific hardware problem addressed with BIOS fixes. The data collected for BIOS information is limited, difficult and frankly, not worth the effort, which is why you don't get the date, whether the PC is 5 years, or 5 days, old :)
