desktop problem

Hi, I have a problem with my desktop thingy. I right click but get no dropdown. The pic that I had as my desktop has gone and is now blank (white) when I startup I get the 'Msg wndows/privacy-danger/index,htm;' it seems to work ok. I have looked at a few threads but they are a bit complicated!

Please can you help me?

Yup. The "Privacy Danger" virus is really widespread these days, and can be a nightmare to remove unless you know what you're doing or have good help like you'll find in the Major Geeks Malware Removal Forum. Use Kestrel's link above and follow the steps in the "READ ME FIRST" guide. If you have continuing problems, head on over the the malware forum and the geniuses over there will get you straightened out.
