desktop question

hey guys, i'm running windows me and I can't move my icons around on my desktop, it's like they are "frozen" or something, i've looked around and can't find the problem, wondering if any of you know?

 

I had the same problem, all I did was restart my computer and everything works.

I noticed it happens when I'm running llot of programs; low on resources.

 

Dont know what os your running, but ?????????????
Hit start button and go to settings than click task bar and start menu check your settings there
I belive in windows 95 &98 you can loc or unlock icons there or something like that.

 

You must of missed that

 

If you right click on a blank area of your desktop a window will appear, in that window there will be a heading "Arrange Icons" click on this and you will probably find that "Auto Arrange" is checked. Uncheck this and you should be able to move your icons around again.

 

ya, that was the first thing I tried, but to no luck, dunno what is going on, guess it's time to get XP =)
