    Hey,
Myself and a friend are looking into recording segments of the games we play for tutorial and other miscellaneous purposes.

I was wondering if anyone knew any good desktop recording software packages/applications.

I've tried FRAPS as I've seen suggested on a number of other threads, but found that it wouldnt capture the game, just a black screen and audio, an added problem being that it was saving the recorded videos in massive sizes.
Like around 6GB for 45 minutes...

    Any suggestions?
