Desktop Video Card

one tower hard drive crashed i guess-clicks and says its 40 when its really 80 gigs and fdisk didnt work for a windows 98 boot up disc

so now im on a second tower xp computer

driver boaster put in all the drives except the video one

i wonder if ill have to open it up and squint at what it is --it is some genetic home built thing i guess

last time i used it i thought driver boaster put in the video too-im in 16 color

maybe i should try an older version of driver boaster?

ok perfect, got the video to work right--couldnt do the winzip stuff until i went to old version.com for a 2005 version of winzip

i guess the driver boaster version of other drivers are ok or are they?thanks falcon

 

Why are you using this old machine?

 

This is onboard graphics rather than dedicated graphics and you'd need the driver from the computer manufacturer. Driver Booster isn't perfect but, you got it working.

 

Alright my friend , i am glad you sorted it out

Firstly : Your Operating System is out of date .
Secondly : Driver Booster or similar programmes isn't the best choice because the drivers isn't from manufacturer page .
Thirdly : The programme which gave you can inform us about what is the parts of your machine , even you can helping us if your machine is upgradable to win 7 which is newer/better than Xp

why?i dont know -i didnt buy win 7 except its on a netbook and it goes slow maybe because of the dragon software

the windows 8 laptop locks up

the win 10 laptop somewhat does work best

these two towers serve as stand for monitor and netbook

i was told xp is bad but i find it convenient for some reason

im stuck in the past?i was even thinking of using 98 just to watch dvd last night

 

win 7 netbook has 2 gigs ram all of mine do- 2 gigs

im trying to watch a live facebook video it wont play on xp then it locks up on win 7

then later it will play on xp-it all seems hit and miss
had few windows open -just turned on the machines

connection is up to speed i guess

i seem to think a tower or desktop has all the fans that make it better-am i right?

i might get a new thing--i got too many devices though

A 64 bit system will recognise a much higher amount of RAM than a 32 bit system, eg 16gb rather than the maximum 8gb on a 32bit system. It will also run 64bit versions of software.
Most systems from Windows 8 onwards will support 64 bit which is good for intensive use around gaming and other applications.
