Desparate Attempt to Fix My Sound, Please Help!!

Okay, so I've been trying everything I could for the last few days to fix my sound problem. What seems to happen is that the sound stutters when I'm running games, thus making the frame rate stutter with it. Also, when I'm listening to music through winamp and foobar2000 (but oddly enough not WMP) it stutters if I'm typing firefox or IM.

I have a Gigabye GA-MA74GM-S2.

I'm using the onboard sound and running Windows Vista 64bit with a AMD 7750 DC 2.7ghz processor, 4 gigs of ram, GTS 250 1gig DX10 and using Realtek 97, with it updated.

I've tried multiple times to install sound drivers over again, and even reinstalled Vista with no results.


Now, I'm forced with returning it (Cyberpower PC) or sticking it out like this. I would just get another sound card but I don't have anywhere to put it in my motherboard because I believe it's being used up by my IEEE card. Also, doing that, I'm not even sure it would fix the problem.

Someone on another forum said it could be a PNP hardware conflict and that maybe "my sound card and something else are trying to use the same DMA or IRQ". Does anyone know ways I could try and fix this or test and see if it's the problem?
