Desperate: Enemy Territory Lock Ups

Sorry if this has already been covered but I am desperate! I have been playing ET 4 about 12 months now, and recently had a new system:

AMD 64 3200
512 DDR
9800XT
Chaintech Zenith 150 Mobo
80gb & 160gb SATA drives

Now everytime I play the game locks 4 about 4 secs every 2 mins! This is doing my head in! I am running Catalyst 4.9 beta (cos Doom 3 won't run without it) but I have tried every one back to 4.6, with no change! Oh I have a Zoom 5 port router running through the ethernet. Does anybody have any ideas? Please!!! all drivers r up 2 date.

 

Further to the above, I think I have identified the prob...Punkbuster! The prob onle happens on PB enabled servers!? Don't know why? Anybody any suggestions?

 

I had this problem with bf1942 demo i just reset my router and everything was peachy. now i run full version and no probs.

 

Cheers 4 the reply. Sorry 4 sounding a pratt but what do u mean reset? Switch on & off? I keep it on all the while.

Just thought i would post a reply to my own prob! It may help others. I have identified through another forum that that prob was caused by a conflict between punkbuster & my mobo GART drivers (graphics). This problem only happens if ur using the nforce3 chip set!
just uninstall the gart drivers (wont effect system cos u will have ur graphics card drivers) and away u go..sorted!
