ive had a lot of problems with my new system. I finally got it working yesterday, and when i brough it home and plugged it in, after the initial boot up screen i get the following message...

    MediaSheild ROM BIOS 5.60
    copyright (C) 2005 NVIDIA Corp.
    Detecting Array...

    i have the following hardware...
    ASUS M2N-SLI
    500W true power supply
    2x Nvidia 8600GT
    creative sound blaster card
AMD 6400+ duel core processor socket AM2
    3GB ddr2 800 ram

I have tried the following to correct the problem

removed each component and placed them back in 1 by 1
    reset bios to default
and im aware the key problem to this is having the raid setting enabled... it is disabled.

    I have no more ideas....:cry

Well, if you want RAID, you have to enable it in bios, & set up the array. Look up the RAID section in your mobo manual. It explains everything from start to finish. Also, some boards are picky about the SATA/IDE connectors. In that case, you have to plug the drives in certain connectors.

well thanks for the suggestion, but after trying that i thought hey why not test the ram... turns out to be a faulty peice of ram... god knows how it was causing the problem :confused
