Detecting hardware

    Hello everyone.

    I reformatted my gf's pc, put windows xp on it and downloaded all the drivers. but I do not know what type of soundcard she has. (I know im an idiot and shoulda checked before i reformatted) Is there a program i can use to find out what type of soundcard she has? i want to know so i can get the proper divers.

    any help will be much appreciated.

    There are quite a few, but my favourite is EVEREST HOME EDITION.

    It will tell you what your hardware is and usually supply a driver link.

    As far as I'm aware, Aida32 hasn't been updated for a while and their website is closed.

    The author of the program, Tamás Miklós, has started Everest, and if you go to AIDA's site, it redirects you to Everest's.
