I was in Device Manager today, for another reason, and I happened to notice that sev items in Network Adapters had the “yellow triangle !” on them:

    MS 6T04 adapter (1 instance)
MS ISATAP adapter (3 instances of same adapter)
MS ISATAP adapter (13 instances of same adapter)
These last two have long strings of numbers which I couldn't copy - sorry.

Strange thing is that I don't seem to be having any problems with my wireless network, other than the occasional disconnect, which it has always done. So ... other than I know when you see this kind of thing in Device Manager, it means you have problems, I don't know where the problems are.

Should I just ignore this? Or, if it is problematic, how do I fix it?

Ignore them. Here's a MS KB article with some information.

    A quote from article -
The Microsoft ISATAP device Inter Site Automatic Tunneling Address Protocol is used to help enterprises transition to an IPv6 infrastructure. The ISATAP adapter encapsulates IPv6 packets by using an IPv4 header. This functionality enables the client to transport IPv6 traffic over an IPv4 infrastructure. This approach lets organizations slowly migrate to an IPv6 infrastructure without having to spend excessive time and financial resources to convert to the new infrastructure.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks lbmest - thought maybe that was true, since there was no negative behavior evident. Appreciate your response.

    cat5e,
Thanks for the link - interesting explanation. In my case, I think I'll let well enough alone - since it's not apparently causing any problems - If I got in there and tried any of those suggestions, eventually we'd have some real problems - guaranteed!
