I was reformatting a HD earlier, everything was going smoothly. I was just gathering the last of the Windows Updates and then, after it said to reboot, the display upon rebooting was at 640x480 4-bit, rather than 1024x746 32-bit.

    Help?

Okay a few more specs would have helped (Vid Card):

Have you tried to re-adjust the properties within your settings?!?

    What OS do you have??

Have you downloaded any of the more recent Video Drivers??

Do you have "Drive Cleaner Pro"?

Your current video driver may have become corrupted during the latest Windows updates or did you select some of the optional "Hardware Updates", a big no-no in my book as they often have older and very average ones.

Post some responses and then we'll diagnose it further.

Sorry for the lack of information. Either way, the problem was resolved. Apparently with that last batch of Windows Updates, I had downloaded a new video card driver that didn't mix well. After rolling back the driver, everything was fixed.

Be careful what you download from windows update. I usually just go with the 'critical' updates. Drivers I get from the manufactorer's website.........if there is a problem.
