DevLoader not loading-win98se

    Greetings; Can anyone help with the devloading not loading ntkern.vxd and mmdevldr.vxd,
    yep-the Code 2 error.
    I have reloaded the OS and updated the BIOS (A09) Phoenix,double
    checked those drivers. They are installed,working and been reinstalled. Still the DM says they are not installed. I really don't want to reformat the harddrive and do another clean install.
    This all started when I rebooted with factor defaiult CMOS !
    Note: Have Dell Dimension D300 , PII and no internet access with this CPU.
