    Hey all
My first post so hoping this should be in these boards.

Well I know my way around a computer and have begun to understand things like adware/spyware etc lately so I've been looking into protecting my computer more. Anyway I have a problem I can't solve. When I'm online I frequently get a pop up for 'hot kiss', this is an 18 + thing that I didn't choose to recieve and didn't click on and I don't want my little bro + sister to see it! It doesn't go away, if you close it you get disconnected from the web and it installs an extra connection to 'XXX server' under my connections in the dial up box. Any help will be much appreciated!

You should probably run a spyware detector like Spybot search & destroy or ad aware. They will catch alot of those problems. Its definately some type of spyware though.

    Hi Derij,
    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

May I suggest you post your thread in the "Spyware Specific" forum, where someone will undoubtedly help you. ( I dont consider myself a "Geek" yet).
Be sure to post your operating system specs and any anti virus/ spyware/adaware programs you are running as this will save time

    Regards, Harry.

thanks all, I've run ad aware and sypbot but neither of these have helped. I always delete the xxx server as soon as the ad arrives so I hope it isn't dialling premum numbers :( I'll try posting in the spyware forum
    thanks again

    *pondering where edit could be*

I think it is the hot_kiss.exe dialler but I did the first stages suggested in another thread and didn't find it in my registry.
    *slightly desperate now*
