    Hi all,
I just got DSL here at my house and I am going to ditch my dialup internet here in a week. I heard someone talking about something called a "RAD Server" or something to the effect. What I'm trying to do is connect down to my house, have my Windows 2000 server pick up the ringing and let my other computer 2 miles away use the internet through my house. Can this be done? IS this the RAD server that the guy was telling me about??
P.S. - I know that this will only be dialup speed.

What you're proposing is definitely possible. It involves setting up the RAS (remote access service) server on the Win2k box with the DSL connection to accept incoming dialup connections. I've never actually done it myself, but here are some links to get you started:

[Edit] You might want to try posting this in the Networking forum :)

Thanks a lot for the post. I'll give that a try and then let you know how the outcome is. Now that you say it, it is RAS, not RAD.
