   every time i want to connect with my dial up i have to go through the whole process of setting up connection or it starts dialing a long string of numbers is there any way to fix i have run my AVG many times also spybot search & destroy and ad-aware but they do not find any bugs or virus so can someone please help me?

   Right click internet explorer / properties / connections / is your default connection listed? If not hit add and fill in the blanks ...then check the box for always dial my default connection ...apply/ok on out ...retry.
